Shishkin helped me give color to some glimpses of universes that reason puts in my way without any obvious purpose… Oil painting has a certain something because during a painting session I don’t feel any purposefulness – transcendental trip beyond time and space in which the artist dissolves himself and becomes one with his infinite. Bar Valentin :: Painter The creation left behind is nothing but a “field of flowers” for which no meaning is needed… For me, oil painting is the instrument by which each brush stroke taken from nature “claims” to be transposed after the artist’s impressionist sensibility has filtered it.
